Urban Exploration

‘URBEX’: Recreational activity involving adventure, exploration, and travel.

All across Pennsylvania, myself alongside a team of friends have passionately explored what the “Keystone State” has to offer since 2016. Small towns, camping trips, abandoned spots, wacky adventures, and even our own male-only endeavors known as, ‘BROad Trips’. If it’s weird, scary, unique, thrilling, awesome, mesmerizing, wild, bizarre, enticing, wondrous, or fun…chances are, we’ve been there. The following collection of images captures the essence of Urban Exploration, better known as, ‘URBEX’.

They say Pennsylvania is a boring state…

I beg to differ.

From the musical “Ringing Rocks” of Upper Black Eddy, to the bone-chilling halls of Pennhurst Asylum, to viewing the Milky Way with the naked eye at Cherry Springs State Park, to skateboarding overtop an underground mine fire in Centralia and even laying in 70’s heart shaped bathtubs at the abandoned Penn Hills Resort...

Adventure is out there…you just have to find it.
